Food Processing Lighting

Food processing facilities require high-efficient and long-lasting food-grade LED fixtures that meet the NSF Requirements for Food Processing Equipment for a safe and sanitary environment.

LED Fixtures Meeting NSF Requirements for Food Processing

The Hosedown Series is NSF certified by the National Sanitation Foundation International on the standard NSF/ANSI 2, meeting NSF Splash Zone 2. The Hosedown Series complies with all requirements for material safety, design, construction and product performance to ensure food protection and sanitation. It also follows the NSF recommendations of avoiding glass for safety reasons in case of impact, as well as painted surfaces as they could chip and contaminate the food.

The Highest Performance in Cold Storage

At cold temperatures the typical fluorescent lights suffer a significant reduction of light output, ranging from 50% to 70 % loss of light. On the other hand, LEDs thrive under cold temperatures, improving their performance and life. Our Essentials Series and Hosedown Series LED fixtures provide the same or brighter illumination levels in freezers and other cold storage spaces with less fixtures compared to fluorescent lights. The reduction of the number of fixtures and the higher efficacy provide significant cost savings.

Better Lighting for Food Processing

Create Safer and More Productive Food Processing Facilities

Higher Productivity

When optimal illuminance levels are met, workers experience better visibility and higher concentration, increasing their accuracy and work speed.

Safer Machine Operation

Some food processing tasks involve the use of sharp utensils such as knives, grinders and slicing machines; high light levels with low glare and adequate uniformity are required to prevent accidents.

Accident Prevention

In freezer areas, walking or driving forklift trucks in wet or icy conditions represent a high risk if employees cannot see the floor properly due to inadequate lighting.

IP69K Certified

Tested and certified as Dust Tight with a Liquid Ingress Protection to withstand powerful high temperature water jets. Hosedown Series is also tested and certified as IP65, IP66, and IP67.

NEMA 4X Rated

Hosedown Series is rated by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association as NEMA 4X, having passed tests of ingress of dirt and water and protection against corrosive agents.

Up to 1,500psi

Hosedown Series resists wash down pressures up to 1,500psi ensuring the safety of its electrical components, even while turned on.

Maximize Energy Savings

Our highly efficient LED fixtures require less energy than traditional light sources. They can include control systems that detects occupancy and read the ambient lighting to deliver the optimal amount of light for each working area.

Reduce Waste

Our LED fixtures have a much longer life span than lamps and most LEDs, eliminating the need of recycling lamps containing mercury and carton boxes or eliminating the need to replace short-lived low quality LED fixtures.

Reduce Carbon Footprint

Our LED fixtures reduce the overall CO2 footprint of food processing facilities by lowering the total kW/hr consumption of the facility and reducing transportation emissions from not needing to source and recycle lamps.

Lower Your Total Cost of Ownership

Think twice before buying the cheapest light fixtures you see

They may come at an unexpected price, ending up costing as much as three times the initial investment versus spending money on high quality LED fixtures.

Conventional light sources are expensive to operate while cheap LEDs will not sustain the advertised efficacy, life and light output you expect, forcing you to buy again after a short period of time.
